  1. Set the project context

    Cedar Services is refreshing three branches: 110 staff, 4 reported switches and 8 reported APs. Switching and Wi-Fi are in scope; WAN gateways stay. The planning ceiling is EUR 45,000.

  2. Describe the existing network

    The manual description records current needs, a December 2026 target and 25% growth over three years. No device models, configurations or surveys are verified.

  3. Work through gaps with Floni

    Floni asks for a physical survey and missing constraints. A supplied demo reply confirms a Site B maintenance window: Saturday 18:00–22:00, with checks before Monday 08:00. It remains a user statement.

  4. Review and correct the brief

    Review Business context, Existing network, Requirements and Constraints. Save a vendor-independent requirement correction. Discovery approval confirms the captured record for preliminary discussion; it does not approve deployment.

  5. Inspect the inventory handoff

    What we found contains 0 devices. The manually reported switches and APs are not scanned inventory. Continue to Design using the corrected Discovery brief only.

  6. Challenge, defer and decide

    Defer lifecycle decision DEC-003 because models and support status are unknown. Challenge DEC-002's premature switching-layer enforcement. The revised reasoning retains isolation as a requirement and defers the enforcement point. Accept that corrected decision or defer it. Eighteen other decisions remain open.
